MX-K rubber series is a special collaboration between Nexy and Tibhar.
Nexy gave Tibhar the blueprint for its High Control Nexy Karis topsheet and asked them to mate it to a special MX series type sponge. The final product is a cream-colored MX sponge with a control oriented Karis-like topsheet in two sponge hardness ranges.
The combination of the dynamic sponge and linear topsheet add a new level of control on well struck balls. This amount of control on the top level shots has been lacking in table tennis rubbers.
The MX-K variant is 2.1 sponge 47-47.5 degree firmness in red and black colors. It is great for those who like to spin the ball or power loop. Control is very high for these shots.
The MX-K H variant is 2.1 sponge 52-52.5 degree firmness in red and black colors. It is for those who like to impact the ball with predominately more direct contact (Hitters, Power Drivers, Power Loopers). If you can really bang into the ball, this is your rubber. Control is outstanding for this kind of impact.
The rubber was designed for high performance (think USATT 2000ish players to the pro level), but anyone who uses more direct contact with the ball can see improved control on those shots with MX-K. Traditionally, Koreans are exactly this kind of player.
