Kanaph is a crisp feeling OFF class blade suitable for hitters and topsinning offensive players. The feel and performance of Kanaph are very both very direct and linear. Flexible attackers who topspin first, then hit will love this blade. Power players who use a serve to setup a bone crunching smash will love how Kanaph performs. Some styles of hybrid offensive OX LP players who use the OX LP to punch the ball and the FH to hit or smash will love Kanaph. Looping from mid-distance and power shots are strong suits of this blade.

Kanaph is slightly larger than previous Nexy blades because I have discovered a link between the size of the blade and performance with the poly ball. A slightly larger head size results in a higher degree of accuracy. In Asia, the short pip players traditionally used Japanese Penholder blades. They preferred the roundish models, not the standard rectangle models, because they knew the rounder shape had a bigger sweet spot, which is definitely needed for flat-hit smashes. The poly ball will require better flat hits because it doesn’t allow for much spin. Players will probably rely more on smashes and small top drives, so a bigger sweet spot will be more effective in the new poly ball era.
